I am driven by a passion for transforming food production systems through innovative science and its practical application. With a PhD in Plant Science from Massey University and research experience at UC Davis, I bring a global perspective to advancing sustainable agriculture. As the leader of Plant & Food Research’s Sustainable Production science portfolio, I oversee a team of approximately 150 researchers dedicated to enhancing the productivity and sustainability of primary industries. Our team combines world-class expertise in plant physiology, soil and environmental science, production systems, pollination and biodiversity, data science and modelling and bioengineering technologies to address a wide range of complex challenges. I am a strong advocate for collaborative partnerships, ensuring that research delivers tangible and meaningful benefits to our partners, stakeholders and communities.
