With expertise in designing and deploying lighting and camera solutions for measurement of plant morphology, I currently co-lead the Smart Sensing and Imaging programme of work within the Growing Futures Direction Digital Horticultural Systems, aimed at building a digital twin of an orchard. My broader skills include automating repeated tasks for science such as destructive fruit analysis and soil tensiomtery which build on my original training in Chemistry. I also lead a team of engineers who design and prototype bespoke equipment for our science teams.
