I am a senior scientist with over 20 years of experience in plant physiology. Based at the Waite Campus in Adelaide, I contribute to advancing horticultural research and development across Australia. My background is in viticulture, where I began my career working on precision management, canopy architecture, water stress physiology, and carbohydrate metabolism. My current research focuses primarily on almonds in areas of tree and orchard light environment, architectural manipulation, and vigour management strategies to improve production efficiency and fruit quality. Beyond my research, I am a strong advocate for science communication and gender equity in STEM and I was selected as one of Australia’s Superstars of STEM (2019–2021).
