Stacey Whitiroa (Ngāti Mahuta ki te Hauāuru; Waikato; Tainui Waka, Kuki Airani) led the Māori Strategy, Partnerships and Enterprise team at Plant & Food Research from 2017, the first leadership team appointment specifically focused on building relationships with Māori stakeholders. She has more than 20 years’ experience including governance, strategy, policy and embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in large organisations.
