Roaming wireless network

Eduroam

What is eduroam?

eduroam stands for "education roaming". It is a secure roaming internet access service for the research and education community. This service is available to students, researchers and staff from more than 5000 participating institutions in over 100 countries around the world.

eduroam allows on-demand wireless network access with mobility, security and ease of use. If your University or Research Institution is keen to join the eduroam federation, information is available on the eduroam wiki.

How does eduroam work?

eduroam allows Plant & Food Research staff to access the wireless network with a variation of their Login Name and password while visiting participating campuses around New Zealand and the world. This allows you to access resources at your home institution.

eduroam is available at Plant & Food Research for visitors from other eduroam participating federations.
