As a plant biochemist, I am passionate about plant bioactive compounds and their potential to improve human health. My research focuses on characterising plant specialised metabolites and decoding the genetic pathways that drive their biosynthesis. I am particularly interested in the biosynthetic pathways related to polyphenols, triterpenes, and phytocannabinoids. Recent work includes exciting research on liverwort (bryophytes) as a source of biologically active compounds.
