He uri ahau nō Denmark, nō Malaysia, nō China. I am based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland and first worked at Plant & Food Research as a summer student in 2002. I then carried out my PhD and postdoctoral work in Denmark and Australia respectively and in 2013 moved into business management and working in the commercial sector to help develop new cultivars for commercialisation. My current role at Plant & Food Research supports the development of research partnerships between Māori entities and Plant & Food Research. I also co-lead a newly established Te Tiriti based research programme focused on taonga foods and bio-based products.
