I am Senior Research Associate and clinical trial co-ordinator at Plant & Food Research. I specialise in clinical trial development and management, as well as cell biology in the development and validation of cell-based assays. I have an interest in how the body’s hormonal systems can influence food preferences and eating behaviour. I like to take a holistic approach by marrying quantitative and qualitative research methods to gain deeper, more meaningful insights into hunger, eating behaviours, and ultimately weight control. I am currently developing research projects to examine the effect of hunger on food-based decision making and eating behaviour, and how an appetite suppressant may affect these choices.
