He uri ahau nō Ngāti Maniapoto me Ngāti Rangiwewehi, ā, kei Ōparure i Te Nehenehenui ahau e noho ana. I first joined Plant & Food Research in 2022, bringing experience in kaupapa Māori research and strategy, with a career dedicated to improving outcomes for Māori. My current role within the Māori Strategy, Partnerships & Enterprise (MSPE) team is centred on enabling meaningful research partnerships between Māori and Plant & Food Research. I also co-lead the Authentic Taonga Foods Direction under the Growing Futures investment, a kaupapa focused on taonga foods and bio-based products. Across my mahi, I work to embed Māori perspectives, tikanga, and aspirations within science and innovation, ensuring research delivers meaningful, long-term benefits for iwi, hapū, and whānau.
