Operations Support Manager
My current role as Operations Support Manager for the New Cultivar Innovation portfolio allows me to work alongside science research teams to get the best out of their projects. I provide overarching project management support to project leaders by applying project management skills combined with an understanding of scientific methodologies. This allows us all to deliver quality science. My science career started with a BSc majoring in molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics, followed by an MSc in molecular biology on sex determination in fruit flies and blowflies, and finally a PhD in molecular neuroscience using a Huntington's Disease model in rats. Prior to my current role I was a Research Scientist, working on regulation of polyphenol biosynthesis in fruit.
