Kia ora, you can call me Angel. My current research is to understand kiwifruit flowering, with a focus to help us be prepared for challenges like climate change. My background is a BTech (First Class Hons) specialise in Biotechnology, and a PhD in Biological Science through The University of Auckland. My PhD research was on understanding the transcriptional regulation on anthocyanin biosynthesis and the health benefits of anthocyanin in kiwifruit. My two post-doc projects were focused on genes contributing to flowering in kiwifruit and model legume plant. Keen to talk about pretty fruit and beautiful flowers!
